Dunenyo Cultural Troupe

ABOUT THE TROUPE

The troupe was founded on the basis of promoting the rich African Cultures. It is to work towards the enlightenment of the people living around Ghana and also outskirt of the country. The troupe combines the various African dances and songs to perform on shows across the country. The troupe was formally known as Our Cultural Troupe but is currently called the Dunenyo Cultural Troupe. The location of the troupe within Ghana is in the Volta Region which lies at the west eastern part of the country. The green light for the movement of the troupe was given when a young boy felt the need for the reservation of his culture. By so doing, he started to gather some friends and let them know his mind. this finally became what it is known to be today. The group despite the hindrances and impossibilities, was determined to make changes within it's reach. The following are the Aims and Objectives upon which the troupe was based on................

*To identify and nurture God-given talents within the society.

*To promote the rich culture of Africa.

*To promote moral values in the African culture.

*To promote peace within the society.

*To teach the world and society that cultural diversity is not enmity.

*To generate revenue for developing the society by aiding the dispossessed

*To leave in political and religious neutrality hence promoting unity.

*To serve as entertaining body for several occasions like cultural festivals, Independence Day Celebrations and more.

*Create avenue for members to tour the various tourist zones in the country and beyond.

*To unite with like-minds joining arms in arms contributing to development within the local areas of target.

*To create focused intentions and courteous behaviors among people through realistic dramas plays.
