POETRY, POEM AND  A POET

You are welcome here my friend. This page is my Home of Poetry. I love poetry so much as if it's the food that I eats when am hungry. It serves me right when am with a book and a pen that I have a mind filled with the feeling of writing. The word is a food for my hunger, that's what am trying to say. I will write and yet write again. What is more than being alone and taking time to think about yourself. Let me tell you this, if you have nothing so special doing, get some books and read as it will heal you off your affiliations. A friend of mine use to say, " a poet can take his pain and turn them into his gains" and this is just right as I know. You can forget your burdens when you start to read an article maybe a short story, a tale, myth, a poem or anything else that will make you feel no way. You can also listen to some musics rocking on the background while you read. It gets well with those who have some time for reading. This is how I have welcomed you to my World Of Poetry. Read my poems and tell me how you feel right inside the comment box. I love criticism so much. You are welcome once again to my World Of Poetry. You can also read my articles at Allpoetry.com. Everyday the passion grows higher for writing.               Just click here....

Reasons to Live

Posted by Amu Simon on Friday, February 11, 2011, In : Love Poems

Reasons to Live

At the other side of the bridge,
There I stood like a ridge
Looking at living in the doom
But preferring to live in the room
Then I heard the call from far
Like the trumpet at war

My heart melted like the metal
And I was out of my mental
Heading to the riverside
To just commit that suicide
Then I heard the call
To return home for all

I am part of a whole body
And when I left, there will be nobody
To fill and play my part
Yet still, we must complete the ...

WHO ARE YOU

Posted by Amu Simon on Friday, February 11, 2011, In : Poems of Reality
WHO ARE YOU

Who am I?
I am the knowledge for seekers of understanding
I am the shelter for those without homes
Who are you to the poor?
For the destitute, I am hope
And for the lonely, I am company

Who are you?                            ...

Time To go

Posted by Amu Simon on Friday, February 11, 2011, In : Poems of Reality

Time To go

The sun is over to the west
yet still! I can't find a rest.

The call was loud and clear
But there seem nothing to hear

And I feel like staring the game
So as to escape all other blame

The green light is switched on
So I know the dream light is on

Yes! It's time to go, so said to myself
Raising high my head over the shelf

Into my wardrobe, there i stood insain
Looking at what I have done again

Now I am thinking of a sentence
That will remain at my absence

I AND AFRICA

Posted by Amu Simon on Sunday, February 6, 2011, In : Poems of Reality
I AND AFRICA

Humble Lion I love Africa.  Africa the land of my birth, hope and my Victory.

I can never lay aside and look the land of Africa keep going down the drain.

And our people keep fighting one another for solutions we don’t know and education being deteriorated; all this we understand can’t help us do well in anyway.

While our leaders are crying for our survival, betrayals become the hand back we give to them all this because of the Crown. And while the children are fighting ...
